The Department of Chemistry organised a Poster Presentation Competition for M.Sc. I and M.Sc. II students on 17 August 2026. The competition was organised with the objective of encouraging students to develop scientific interest, research aptitude, creativity, scientific communication skills and confidence in presenting scientific information.
A total of 23 students from M.Sc. I and M.Sc. II participated in the competition. The participants presented posters on various chemistry-related topics. The students demonstrated considerable enthusiasm and made sincere efforts to present their selected topics in a systematic, attractive and scientifically meaningful manner.
The
competition was presided over by Dr. D. G. Kanase, Principal, who encouraged
the students to participate actively in academic and research-oriented
activities. Dr. A. R. Supale, Vice-Principal, was also present on the occasion
and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Chemistry and the
participating students.
Dr. S. T. Mane, Dr. T. R. Lohar and Dr. V. P. Shinde worked as Evaluators for the competition. Ms. S. B. Vadgave, Ms. V. D. Salunkhe and Mr. S. S. Patil guided the students in preparing and presenting their posters. The posters were evaluated on the basis of scientific content, originality, presentation, clarity, organisation of information, creativity and the students' ability to explain their work.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from both classes. Three students from M.Sc. I and three students from M.Sc. II secured First, Second and Third ranks respectively. The rank holders were appreciated for their excellent performance and effective scientific presentation.

The
event provided an excellent platform for M.Sc. students to showcase their
knowledge and creativity while developing important skills in scientific
communication and presentation. It also encouraged students to explore
scientific topics beyond the classroom and enhanced their confidence in
presenting scientific information before an audience.
The
competition concluded successfully with appreciation for all participants, rank
holders, evaluators and faculty members who contributed to the event. The
students were encouraged to continue participating in such academic and
research-oriented activities in the future. A total of 13 M.Sc. I and 8 M.Sc.
II participants presented their research posters. Some photographs of the
